Dr. Craig Lareau, a board-certified
forensic psychologist and attorney,
has an independent practice
providing forensic psychological
evaluations and consultations to
attorneys and courts in a variety of
criminal and civil matters. Dr.
Lareau's practice as an expert witness
and consultant is national in scope,
with offices in the greater Los
Angeles area.
Dr. Lareau is licensed in psychology in California and Arizona, and
holds law licenses in California and Washington, D. C. He is
board-certified in forensic psychology by the American Board of
Professional Psychology, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy
of Forensic Psychology. Dr. Lareau is the Past-Chair of the Department
of Psychology at Patton State Hospital, one of the nation's largest
criminal forensic hospitals, where he is the Director of the Postdoctoral
Fellowship Program. The Postdoctoral Fellowship in Forensic
Psychology has a national reputation for excellence in the training of
forensic psychology.

What is FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY?
Forensic psychology is the application of the science and profession of psychology to questions and issues relating to law and the legal system. This can involve such things as psychological evaluations, attorney consultations, and provision of expert testimony in criminal and civil proceedings. Forensic psychologists have expertise in the objective assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and emotional conditions that are foundational to many legally relevant abilities and deficits.
